5. Bronfman lockers
Dave’s is more than just a convenience store. It is a one-stop shop with a community focus. So, even if you aren’t looking to pick up a few pencils or fill your chocolate craving, you are more than welcome to drop by for a quick hello. If you have any comments or suggestions, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We would love to hear from you!
Chapter XI of the US Bankruptcy Code, the one filed when a point of no return has been reached, inspired the store’s original name, Chapter XI. However, rest assured, our store is in good health! Several years ago, the name was changed to Dave’s Store, to honour the memory of a former BCom student, David Andrew Phillips, B.Com’01, who worked as a cashier at Chapter XI for three consecutive years prior to his graduation. As mentioned on the plate at the entrance of the store, “His charm was magnetic, his friendliness was irresistible, his laughter was contagious, and his energy was boundless.” David passed away on the 29th of August 2002, yet his dynamic spirit still lives within the faculty and is embodied by this small student store, now known as Dave’s.“Dave’s employees and managers take pride in the fact that the store is for the students and by the students, and, most importantly, still survives in the heavily “franchised” world of food services at McGill University. Being solely student-run and not-for-profit under the umbrella of the MUS [with remaining profits supporting management activities], Dave’s represents each and every member of the Bronfman community at large.” – The Bull & Bear
Bronfman lockers can be rented through Dave’s Store, either for one semester or for the entire academic year, at the beginning of each term. Notice for specific dates in which lockers can be purchased will be posted on Dave’s Facebook page (see below). On those dates, they will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you rented your locker for the first semester only, you must, either come into the store to extend the lease, or empty it and remove the lock by December 22nd. If you fail to do either, Dave’s will cut your lock, and empty the contents. If you rented your locker for the full year, you must empty your locker and remove the lock by May 1st.

To help Desautels students succeed academically.
Need a last-minute prep for your midterm or final? MUS Tutorial Services offers drop-in mass tutorials before midterms and finals for the tough core courses. Mass tutorials are taught by upper-year management students who are experienced and familiar with the core courses. The tutorials cost $5 per person.
All tutorials are recorded (room-permitting). Recordings are sent out to attendees a few days after each tutorial.
Tutorial Services also organizes private tutoring. Students will contact the tutors directly and work out details with their respective private tutor. The number of hours and prices will be decided between the student and their tutor. Typically, tutors charge $30 per hour.
